At least the basketball is good
Off-court stuff in the NBA is rough right now. The product on the court is very strong.

Good morning. This post has a ton of highlights and other video clips and links, so you should click the headline to open it in a browser tab if you are receiving it via email. Let’s basketball.
Scores
FRIDAY
Cavaliers 112, Pistons 88 — Kevin Love still has it. This team definitely has it.
Knicks 106, Sixers 104 — Evan Fournier came off of the bench, with Quentin Grimes getting the start. Then Grimes missed Saturday’s game with an injury and Cam Reddish started over Fournier. Worth monitoring. Meanwhile, the Sixers are going to have trouble winning many games with both Joel Embiid and James Harden out, even with Tyrese Maxey scoring lots of points.
Nets 128, Wizards 86 — This incredible Kevin Durant anklebreaker on Daniel Gafford was almost certainly aided by a wet floor. But STILL.

@KDTrey5
Hornets 99, Grizzlies 130 — Memphis was up by 44 in the fourth.
Raptors 110, Mavericks 111 — Pretty amazing breakdown of all the coverages Luka Doncic faced — and beat — from Toronto. Luka is out of control.
Luka Doncic faced at least 11(!) different coverages against the Toronto Raptors Friday night. It didn't matter -- Luka dissected all of them.

Watch how he did it:
Warriors 105, Pelicans 114 — Golden State sat Curry, Klay and Draymond. James Wiseman still only got 16 minutes of playing time and one field goal attempt. New Orleans finally has its starting five back.
Blazers 108, Suns 106 — We have our first game-winning buzzer beater of the season and it’s … Jerami Grant!

The Blazers have been great in close games this season. Beating the Suns in Phoenix without Damian Lillard or Anfernee Simons is a huge accomplishment and confidence booster.
Jazz 130, Lakers 116 — Lauri Markkanen outplayed LeBron James here, but he also benefits from having a better supporting cast. 😉
SATURDAY
Kings 126, Magic 123 (OT) — And now we have our second game-winning buzzer beater of the season courtesy of a BOMB by De’Aaron Fox!
WHAT AN ENDING

DE'AARON FOX FOR THE WIN 🦊🎯
Helluva game overall. The teams combined to score 37 points in overtime. Paolo Banchero is REAL. De’Aaron Fox is off to the best start of his career. Good basketball.
