Nah Morant

Hope for a turnaround all you like. But unless that happens, Ja Morant is a not a useful player.

Ja Morant at his peak was one of the most electric, electrifying players of his generation. He imbued the post-Grindhouse Grizzlies with a sense of import, with an energy that could define a new era, with a purpose. The numbers didn't always support the case that he was one of the top players in the league, but analysts (including myself) were willing to look past that because the team was winning games and belief radiated out of Ja.

But as Morant lands squarely on the trade market, it's worth assessing what he offers a team at this point. The answer: not much.
