How's it going to be

Things are pretty uncertain going into the NBA playoffs, unless they aren't. Same as it always is. Let's predict what will go down.

But first ...

The Davion Mitchell Game

I don't mean to make everything about the Kings but did you see this s--t?

Three threes, a huge offensive rebound and a charge drawn in overtime. Mitchell actually outscored the Hawks in the extra frame as the Heat won 123-114. Best Mitchell in the league? Is that what this Cavs-Heat series is about now, Mitchell supremacy?

The Hawks might be at a crossroads. Or they might assume that a healthy Jalen Johnson and some experience for Zaccharie Risacher will boost the team to the next level. (They might be right about that.) And in fairness to Trae, he drove on Andrew Wiggins to get the Hawks to OT. Fourth team All-NBA. Maybe fifth.

But What a 2.5 Quarters!

The Dallas Mavericks have been eliminated from title contention after losing to the Grizzlies 120-106. Get 'em next year. Anthony Davis was the best player on the floor (40 and 9) but the Mavs were way overmatched – there is zero offensive flow with this team, and Jaren Jackson Jr. had a very good game despite all of Dallas' match-up options.

I watched the fourth quarter on mute. I'm going to say this: there were a lot of close-ups on a very stern-looking Nico Harrison, especially after AD hobbled off the floor.
